Hay-Loft

This post is available also in: Italian

The name evokes the old use of this part of the Mulino di Rimaggio. It was the “hay loft” where all the hay and other fodder were stored to feed the farm animals during the long winter months. When it was restored, we decided to keep its original architectural characteristic, i.e. the typical brick grating windows that once guaranteed aeration of the hay. This feature can still be seen on the upper exterior of the building, whilst inside it has been partly converted into a window.

Features:

The apartment is on two floors connected by a easy wooden staircase. The ground floor, with direct access to the swimming pool area, consists of a bright, spacious kitchen with dining area, a large living room with fireplace, a twin-bedded room overlooking the stream and a bathroom with shower cabin. The upper floor has its own bathroom with shower cabin, a splendid, intimate double bedded room overlooking the swimming pool and a view of the olive groves and vineyards that gently rise at the feet of the village of Montegonzi in the distance. It is ideal for families with little children because it is located directly on the area facing the pool.
