From Florence: Take the A1 motorway for Rome. Exit at Valdarno (second exit after Firenze Sud, about 40 km). After the pay desk turn right for Montevarchi city centre. Follow the main road that bears right and then crosses the River Arno.
The road leads onto a large roundabout (remember you have to give way!): take the road for Siena, SO 408, which goes under an under-pass immediately after the roundabout. Carry on for about 6 km. You will come to another roundabout, follow the directions for Siena. After about 500 m you will come to a cross-roads: Cavriglia is signed-posted to the right and a small village called Montegonzi to the left. Take the latter to the left. Follow the road up to the top of the hill. Before reaching the top there is a sign for Borgo di Fontebussi. Turn left here and take the road that flanks the Borgo (recognisable by the large pool), then it bears right and flanks the Borgo parking place. At the end of the parking area you will come to a dirt road on the right. Keep on to the bottom of the valley (there are olive groves and vineyards on both sides) and the road will lead you straight to Mulino di Rimaggio, the first red detached house on the left.
